Please review the important information below before proceeding with your application.

Before you start

Completing this online application should take around 15 minutes.

Please have the following documents handy before proceeding with the application:

A.1. For a Mauritian Citizen

  • National Identity Card (NIC)
  • Residential address and contact details
  • Bank account details, if payment for SAP is to be credited into a bank account
  • Where payment is to be credited into a joint account, the National Identity Card(s) of the joint account holder(s) and their respective contact details
  • Details of all passports held (Mauritian and Foreign)
  • Certificate of Naturalisation (for naturalised Mauritian citizens)

A.2. For a Non-Citizen (Foreigner)

  • Unique Identifier (UID) from the Passport and Immigration Office
  • Valid residence permit or other immigration/residence document from the Passport and Immigration Office
  • Residential address and contact details
  • Bank account details, if payment for SAP is to be credited into a bank account
  • Where payment is to be credited into a joint account, the National Identity Card(s) of the joint account holder(s) and their respective contact details
  • Details of all passports held

Note: You may be requested to attend the selected Social Security Office in case any additional document is required by the Ministry.

General Information

  1. The online application form should only be filled by those who elect to receive their SAP within the next 3 months (earlier applications are not allowed).

  2. SAP will be effective as from January 2027.

  3. Please refer to Part 2 of the application form to know your pension age.

  4. Applicants are advised to read carefully the explanatory notes before completing and submitting the application, as once same has been submitted, no amendments or changes can be made.

  5. Applicants should ensure that all information provided is complete and accurate. Incorrect or incomplete information may delay the processing and payment of the SAP.

  6. On successful submission of the application, the applicant will receive an acknowledgement receipt by SMS with an application reference number.

  7. The reference number should be kept for future enquiries.

  8. The applicant may be asked to call at the selected Social Security Office to submit any supporting documents.

In Office Application

Applicants who are unable to fill in the online application, should call at the nearest Social Security Office, along with the required supporting documents (as mentioned at sections A.1. & A.2.)
